My garden is still there. I waded through the dense jungle to see if it had survived. Well, really, my dense jungle happens to be waist high weeds that has taken over my front and back yard.
We still do not have the money to fix the lawn mower... But guess what? My maters are still there! The amazon beetles (grass hoppers) didn't eat them up. The bell pepper leaves have been chewed down to the twigs. The jalapeno and Cayenne pepper bushes also survived. All else, devoured... I have a little cherry tomato plant growing in front of my deck. a seed must have fallen when I was planting them in the starter kits. I have allot of respect for that little plant.
Against all odds, it survived. It grew in a high traffic area. I'm surprised it wasn't trampled on.
We had rain for a month straight. The little seed didn't get washed away. Through all that was against that little plant, it survived the hardships. That mater plant is an example of how I want to be. Strong enough to handle the pressure and established enough to weather the storm.
Ive got that little mater plant staked to the porch. It needs help with direction. If I let it grow
however it wanted, it would be sprawled out all over the place. But with a little help and guidance, that little mater plant will grow into a bushy, fruitful plant. That's exactly how I am directed by my heavenly father. He has staked me up with his word and continues to teach me and direct my path.

Strength in hard times
My husband is out looking for work, right now. As I look back on the last two months, I wander how I've had the energy and the strength to go on. My husband has been in and out of work since April. Bills have piled up and the phone rings off the hook with bill collectors.
My children have been extra cranky and my husband has been hard to please. I know that it is due partly because of the stress. What can break down does... Our lawn mower broke down, so our yard looks like a jungle. It's embarrassing when you try to represent Christ and your yard, it's self, will ward off thiefs! Our garden is in the back yard. I've just about given up on it because I cant even get to it anymore... But through my hardship, I've had to learn to trust in Jesus to get me through the day. Hebrew 13:5 says- Let your conversation be with out covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee... That scripture encourages me to remember not to look at my circumstances. My financial situation is not in control of me. Jesus is here for me and he is giving me the strength to be optomistic! I pray that he gives each one of you strength to go forward through what ever challenges that you may be facing.
God Bless,
Rosie
