My garden is still there. I waded through the dense jungle to see if it had survived. Well, really, my dense jungle happens to be waist high weeds that has taken over my front and back yard.
We still do not have the money to fix the lawn mower... But guess what? My maters are still there! The amazon beetles (grass hoppers) didn't eat them up. The bell pepper leaves have been chewed down to the twigs. The jalapeno and Cayenne pepper bushes also survived. All else, devoured... I have a little cherry tomato plant growing in front of my deck. a seed must have fallen when I was planting them in the starter kits. I have allot of respect for that little plant.
Against all odds, it survived. It grew in a high traffic area. I'm surprised it wasn't trampled on.
We had rain for a month straight. The little seed didn't get washed away. Through all that was against that little plant, it survived the hardships. That mater plant is an example of how I want to be. Strong enough to handle the pressure and established enough to weather the storm.
Ive got that little mater plant staked to the porch. It needs help with direction. If I let it grow
however it wanted, it would be sprawled out all over the place. But with a little help and guidance, that little mater plant will grow into a bushy, fruitful plant. That's exactly how I am directed by my heavenly father. He has staked me up with his word and continues to teach me and direct my path.
